Carol Communion: Preface and Sanctus
Preface and Sanctus
Tune: Gloria
77 77 and refrain
God the Lord be with You now.
With uplifted hearts, give praise.
In thanksgiving bless the Lord,
Joyfully your voices raise. Refrain:
Glo - - ria, in excelsis deo!
Glo - - ria, in excelsis deo!
With your spirit be He, too.
To the Lord our hearts we lift,
Thanking Him for Christ His Son,
Virgin’s Child and heaven’s Gift.
It is truly good and right
To give thanks to Thee O Lord,
Holy Father, mighty God
Sender of th’Incarnate Word.
In the Word of God made flesh —
Great and wondrous mystery —
Here we meet Thee in Thy Son,
Drawing us to love th’Unseen.
Therefore with Thy Church on earth
And the hosts of heav’n above
Hear us as we praise Thy Name,
Who sent us Thy Gift of love.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord,
Mighty God of Sabaoth.
All the heav’ns Thy glory fills
And the fullness of the earth.
Sing we now hosannas high!
Blest is He who in the Name
Of the Lord comes down to earth;
With His blood on us makes claim. Refrain:
