Carol Communion: Confession and Absolution
Confession and Absolution
Tune: Nun Komm, Der Heiden Heiland
Let us now confess our sins
Unto Him who wipes them clean
Let us solemnly confide
In our Lord, the Cleansing Tide.
Father dear, I too have strayed
And oft I do what Thou forbade.
Grant that all my sins and vice
Shall be cleansed and made snow white.
Christian brothers, sisters dear,
Christ our Lord says, “Have no fear.”
He has washed away your shame.
I forgive you + in His Name.
