We should never let some sort of misguided anti-Roman Catholicism neglect Mary’s prophecy of herself: “All generations will call me blessed. (Luke 1:48 ESV)” Proper honor for the Lord’s chosen handmaiden bespeaks proper honor for the One whom she bore.
