While my previous post on
Christians Worshiping with Non-Christians grew out of the 9/11 terrorism and responded to a questioner who especially wondered about the participation of a Lutheran (
LCMS Atlantic District President David Behnke), other churches also find themselves caught up in a game of strange bedfellows. Compatriot Lutheran blog
What You Do, Do Quickly asked
Is It Okay (for Herman) to Pray? as he examined the participation of
Metropolitan Herman of the
Orthodox Church of America in a National Cathedral pan-religious ceremony, the “National Service of Prayer and Remembrance for Victims of Hurricane Katrina.”
Not to stereotype, but I have severe doubts about any Orthodox cleric not sporting a full beard!
